Fila USA Inc. said Tuesday Peter Holmberg was joining the athletic shoe and apparel company as national sales manager for its golf and corporate division.
Holmberg is a veteran of the golf apparel industry, having previously served for nine years as executive vice president of sales for Carlsbad, Calif.-based Ashworth Inc. (NASDAQ: ASHW - News).
At Fila USA, Holmberg will report directly to Jeff Clark, the Sparks-based company’s director of golf.
Holmberg will be charged with increasing Fila’s golf apparel distribution and recruiting new employees to its sales force.
Prior to Holmberg’s work at Ashworth, he served in various sales positions with Seattle-based apparel manufacturer Cutter & Buck.
